Medical Science Liaisons

Calliditas is searching for three Medical Science Liaisons. They will be regional directors and a scientific resource capable of conducting high-level scientific exchange for disease states with key opinion leaders and internal Calliditas stakeholders. These individual will be responsible for supporting medical education, clinical development, research and health economics and outcomes research for both marketed and pipeline products. The MSLs ensure appropriate scientific exchange, develop peer relationships with thought leaders and content experts and provide balanced scientific support to healthcare professionals on behalf of Calliditas in their assigned geographic region. They will develop a deep understanding of scientific trends associated with kidney and liver diseases with a focus on IgA nephropathy. Furthermore, these individuals will synthesize their scientific and training insights and communicate with appropriate headquarters-based colleagues (such as clinical development, medical affairs senior management, brand team, managed markets team, investor relations, and business development among others).

Pharmaceutical Development Manager (PDM)

We are searching for a Pharmaceutical Development Manager (PDM) for Calliditas Therapeutics. The ideal candidate will work with a network of internal & external SMEs and suppliers to develop innovative formulations, optimize processes, oversee scale-up activities as well as clinical and commercial manufacturing, write regulatory documents, and contribute to the overall pharmaceutical development strategies. You will provide knowledge-based leadership, coordination and management for multiple projects to successfully expedite product development and regulatory approvals to provide much needed therapies to patients suffering from rare and orphan diseases.

Senior Study Physician (SSP)

The Senior Study Physician (SSP) will work with the cross-functional study and project teams, providing clinical leadership with a focus on excellence in clinical trial conception, design, set-up, execution and reporting. The role involves working with partner organisations (e.g., Contract Research Organisations), and may include acting as Medical Monitor to ensure the safe conduct of assigned clinical trials in the company’s portfolio. The SSP will also work closely with the Chief Medical Officer and other relevant senior stakeholders to ensure the maintenance of the highest standards in clinical trial conduct at all times.

Head of Clinical Development, Liver Disease

This senior position is responsible for strategic planning and direction setting for all clinical development activities in rare liver diseases, including: provision of broad scientific and clinical leadership to relevant activities at all stages of clinical development; strategic planning and execution of clinical development plans; clinical support of regulatory meetings and submissions; clinical input to commercial strategy; and provision of clinical expertise for relevant business development activities.
